Wayne was very friendly and efficient.
Wayne helped to find people to repair some problems and facilitated the visits. We have been down in Florida for this time, so he was very helpful in that regard.
Wayne Watson and his wife Joy started their careers as Realtors at Appalachian Land Company after retiring from the Cherokee County School System. Wayne became a licensed Realtor in 1994, and Joy was licensed in 1981. After careers as educators helping young people achieve their greatest potential, Wayne and Joy began their second careers as Realtors. Teaming together, they brought a positive attitude and caring spirit to the workplace. In 2022, Joy went home to be with her Lord and is greatly missed by all who knew her. Wayne continues their commitment to helping people achieve their real estate dreams, as his many satisfied clients can attest. Buying or selling, Wayne will be with you every step of the way taking care of all the details.
Wayne grew up in the Brasstown, North Carolina area where he enjoyed activities at John C. Campbell Folk School. He graduated from Western Carolina University, where he met Joy. After graduating and getting married, Wayne taught 8th-grade science and coached football, golf, baseball, basketball, and track during his 31 years with Cherokee County Schools. Wayne now enjoys helping former students, players, and their families with home buying and selling.
Wayne is very proud of their two children, Kellee and Joseph. Kellee is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Joseph followed in his parents’ footsteps. A football scholarship recipient and graduate of Western Carolina University, he is a PE teacher and head football coach at Murphy High School. Wayne is also the proud and doting grandfather of three grandsons.
Community and family are very important to Wayne. He is a member of Murphy First United Methodist Church and participates in several volunteer projects. An avid sports fan, Wayne especially enjoys family outings to UGA Football games and the Atlanta Braves games. Occasionally, Wayne sneaks off to play golf at one of the local golf courses.
Mission Statement:
